University development is a broad field that includes organisational and structural aspects as well as didactic issues. As part of the ‘Increasing student success’ project, topics relating to university development are central. The aim was and is to analyse and optimise structures and processes at the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern and thus promote the specific development of the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern.

University development has so far been pursued in the project by

  • work is constantly being carried out on the reaccreditation procedures in cooperation with the Office for Quality in Teaching and Learning, for example in the form of testing new survey or reporting concepts.
  • tailor-made studies for degree programmes and departments are offered as part of the project. The reason for this is the departments‘ and degree programmes’ need for answers to individual research questions in the course of degree programme development.
  • Concepts and measures aimed at increasing studyability, particularly with a view to promoting high-quality teaching at the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern.
  • Structures should be developed and studies carried out that already have prospective students in mind and aim to increase the match between students and study programmes and thus avoid drop-outs.
