Criteria for good online teaching
Evaluation of student comments on the Online Teaching Award 2020
In the 2020 summer semester, students at the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern voted for teachers who they thought should receive the teaching award. When choosing a lecturer, they could voluntarily give reasons why these lecturers provide the best online teaching. In order to find out which aspects are most important to students in this form of teaching, the students' statements were subjected to an empirical analysis. Using quantitative content analysis, all comments were analysed and categories were formed to provide an overview of which criteria are important aspects of online teaching for students and which are less important.
