Pro3 HSKL
With the project ‘Pro3HSKL - profile strengthening, professionalisation of staff recruitment and new professorship formats at the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern’, the HSKL is pursuing the goal of expanding its strengths through a university-specific, coordinated package of measures for staff recruitment, retention and development by strategically strengthening the interdisciplinary combination of the four fields of expertise of technology, health, business and design with computer science.
New professorship formats open up new opportunities in the recruitment of professors as well as in staff retention and development. Cooperation with other universities within Rhineland-Palatinate and with Saarland will be strengthened and utilised for the recruitment and personnel development of new target groups. Potential applicants are sensitised and/or qualified for the HAW professorship career path. In addition, networking in the (greater) region and the federal state will improve the visibility of this career path, utilise synergies and increase the pool of potential candidates.
Complementary to this, the university aims to create scope for particularly active researchers, create transparency about existing organisational options within the framework of a professorship and facilitate the arrival in the professorship and at the university in order to enable effective action from the outset. Special consideration is given to professors with caring responsibilities in the family environment.
