Strategy for the recruitment and development of (professorial) staff at the University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern
University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern - Responsibility. Networking. Diversity. Impulse.
The University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern (HSKL) is a University of Applied Sciences (HAW) focussing on technology, business, design and health as well as computer science as an integrating cross-sectional competence.
The University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern educates around 6,200 students in over 50 degree programmes and continuing education courses with around 550 employees and around 150 lecturers at three study locations in Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens and Zweibrücken. In 2017, we were the first university of applied sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate to receive system accreditation.
As a research-strong and application-orientated university with four designated research focal points, we inextricably link studies, research and development as well as transfer.
Over the next ten years, around 50% of professorships will become vacant due to the age structure. This situation allows us to strategically fill the vacant positions in accordance with our guiding principle
‘Responsibility. Networking. Diversity. Impulse.’
in a future-orientated and qualified manner. The university's envisaged profile in the fields of technology, business, design and health with computer science as an integrating cross-sectional competence will thus be further sharpened (University of Apllied Science Kaiserslautern 2017).
