Practical phase

The sixth semester of the Bachelor's degree course is designed as a practical semester. The practical project covers a period of 20 weeks.

Students prepare weekly reports on the practical project. The weekly reports must be submitted to the supervisor of the internship by four weeks after the start of the lecture period following the practical semester. The students present their practical report in a colloquium open to the university.

The practical project is recognized under the following conditions:

  • Submission of the internship certificate from the internship placement (or placements)
  • Timely submission of the weekly reports
  • Successful participation in the colloquium

If all evidence is provided, the practical project is awarded 20 ECTS credits (FPO 2014) or 18 ECTS credits (FPO 2017).

The aim is for the practical project to be completed without interruption. Partial achievements of the practical project should have a duration of at least 4 weeks.

Practice abroad

The practical project can be replaced by corresponding periods at a foreign university or by a semester abroad.
