The course lasts 7 semesters, including the practical phase and the bachelor's thesis.

The first semesters are mainly devoted to the basics of natural sciences. However, the first lectures are already dedicated to practical construction issues, such as building materials science or building construction. What you learn here is by no means finished once you have passed your homework, but will accompany you throughout the rest of your studies. In the fifth and sixth semesters, you will be able to complete your studies intensively in the subject area of your choice. To ensure practical relevance at all times, you will complete a half-semester practical phase in a company at the end of your studies before you begin your Bachelor's thesis. You can work on this in close cooperation with the construction industry.

Qualification as a Bachelor of Engineering or a completed Diploma in Civil Engineering is a prerequisite for the consecutive Master's degree course, which is currently in preparation. It will last 3 semesters and lead to a Master of Engineering (M. Eng.).
