As a prospective Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) in Civil Engineering at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, we will provide you with a broad range of specialist knowledge and additional in-depth knowledge in sub-areas of civil engineering.

The course is not only designed to provide you with technical and engineering qualifications, but also to develop independence, creativity, English language, rhetorical and presentation skills, and an awareness of the need for responsible conservation and design of our environment. The course lasts 7 semesters, including the practical phase and the bachelor's thesis.

Civil engineers are sought-after specialists in the construction industry, in engineering and project management offices, in state or municipal planning, supervision and administration departments, in the real estate industry, in professional associations and in industrial companies: they know what they are doing because they calculate precisely and have formulated their ideas precisely. You are familiar with building materials, know how to use them, or are working on the development of completely new materials.

If you decide to study for a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, you can expect an intensive course of study with constant practical relevance. Prospective civil engineers always learn on the basis of concrete projects and as often as possible in cooperation with construction companies, building authorities and engineering offices. What is to be learned is always taught in interdisciplinary modules.

If you opt for the Bachelor's degree course in Civil Engineering at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, you can expect an intensive course of study with constant practical relevance. The first semesters are mainly devoted to the basics of natural sciences. However, the first lectures are already dedicated to practical construction issues, such as building materials science or building construction. What you learn here is by no means finished once you have passed your homework, but will accompany you throughout the rest of your studies. In the fifth and sixth semesters, you will be able to complete your studies intensively in the subject area of your choice. To ensure practical relevance at all times, you will complete a half-semester practical phase in a company at the end of your studies before you begin your Bachelor's thesis. You can work on this in close cooperation with the construction industry.

Qualification as a Bachelor of Engineering or a completed Diploma in Civil Engineering is a prerequisite for the consecutive Master's degree course, which is currently in preparation. It will last 3 semesters and lead to a Master of Engineering (M. Eng.).
