Balancing family with studies or work often involves managing gaps in childcare—when the childminder is sick, the daycare center is closed, school vacations aren’t fully covered, and so on.

To help with such situations, the university provides parent-child workrooms at all three campuses -Kaiserslautern , Zweibrücken und Pirmasens. These spaces allow you to combine family responsibilities with your university activities.

The university is committed to supporting you with this and many other measures to make it easier to balance family, studies, and/or work. The parent-child workroom also offers a retreat for pregnant women or nursing mothers.
