The University Council advises and supports the university in all important matters. It is comprised of 10 members, five of whom are appointed by the Ministry for Education, Science, Further Education, and Culture, and five are elected by the university’s Senate Committee with a two-thirds majority. Their term in office lasts five years. Their work as members is voluntary.

The term in office of the current University Council will expire on December 31st, 2018.
