The Research Group

The group conducts interdisciplinary research that deals with new materials and devices for applications in nanoelectronics, biosensing and diagnostics. A specific focus is on fabrication and characterization of field-effect transistors based on silicon, graphene and other two-dimensional materials.

These highly sensitive transducers are chemically modified to achieve selectivity for different analytes such as proteins and electrolyte ions. This research can provide new insights into the interaction between electronic materials and biological systems and can result in novel biochemical assays with real-life applications.
