Would you like to study architecture at HS Kaiserslautern in the coming winter semester?

Then we would like to get to know you and look forward to your registration for the aptitude test.

Studying architecture requires a special combination of different skills such as creativity in ideas and implementation, spatial representation and conceptual thinking. Your suitability will be checked based on the digital portfolio you submit. Lecturers in the architecture course will evaluate your submitted documents.

Passing the aptitude test is a prerequisite for admission to the course. 
Create a digital portfolio in the form of a PDF file (less than 3MB file size). 
The portfolio has the following content:

• Five work samples (one page each | A4) on the aspects to be evaluated: creativity, artistic and technical ability, spatial representation ability and conceptual thinking. The works should reflect your very personal approach to architecture in the broadest sense. Show your individual enthusiasm for architecture in drawings, photos, artistic concepts, supplemented by short titles or texts. We look forward to individual expression and experimental results that do not have to be finished or perfect.
• Information on existing course-specific training and internships (if available, no proof required, maximum one page).

Registration for the aptitude test takes place online. After entering your personal data, you can upload the portfolio. After sending you will receive a confirmation of receipt.

We will ensure that the documents are checked quickly after June 1st, 2024 and will inform you by email about the result of the aptitude test. We will report the result to the student secretariat so that you do not have to submit any further documents there. You will receive admission if you pass the aptitude test and meet the other requirements for studying (see “Application for studying”).
