Boards and Committees

The Department of Building and Design is organized by boards and committees, which are made up of members of the department and are subject to the university regulations.

All bodies and committees include representatives from the ranks of professors, staff, assistants and students (depending on the size of the individual degree programs). Study and Teaching Committee

In addition to the Faculty Council, there is also the Specialist Committee for Studies and Teaching (FSL), which sees itself as a working committee. It is made up of representatives of the professors and staff/assistants as well as representatives of the students. The FSL prepares resolutions on which the Faculty Council is to decide.

Examination Board

The Examination Board deals with all examination-related issues relating to the individual degree programs. It decides, for example, on the recognition of study and examination achievements of applicants from other universities or students changing courses. Like the other committees, the Examination Board is made up of representatives of the professors, assistants and students.

Qualifying Examination Committees

In degree programmes with aptitude or portfolio examinations, this committee is responsible for determining the artistic aptitude of new students and organizes the aptitude test procedure. This committee is also made up of representatives of the professors, staff, assistants and students.

Admission Committees

The admissions committee examines applicants for their professional suitability for a Master's degree program. Personal aptitude should be demonstrated by a pronounced interest in the Master's degree program, a correspondingly high level of motivation and particular commitment.
