We are an interdisciplinary research group at the Zweibrücken campus of the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern. The research group is part of Department of Information Technology and Microsystem Technology (I/MST) and is under the direction of Prof. Dr. Saumer.

The main focus of our activities is on process development for wet electrochemical processes such as the electroplating/deposition for miscrosensors and microactors, the production of nano-structured substrates for sensor applications or of stamps for embossing processes.

A further focus is on chip-based capillary electrophoresis, with the main emphasis on the development of chips and methods for different applications as well as the production of micro- and nano-structured substrates for biomedical applications such as cell reactors and chip-based arrays.
