Examination Periods of the undergraduate Bachelor’s degree programs

At the end of each semester, there is (usually) a two-week Main Examination Phase (Hauptklasurphase). These examinations can be repeated in the middle of the following semester (Nachklasurphase).

In addition, the elections for the elective areas (all Bachelor!) and the compulsory elective subjects (FIDI only!) take place at certain times. Only the higher semesters are affected by this.

Attestation §14, para. 2 General Examination Regulations

The reasons given for missing an examination date -or- for withdrawing after the withdrawal deadline -or- for interrupting the Bachelor's thesis must be reported to the Examination Office immediately in writing and substantiated. In the event of illness, a medical certificate must be submitted confirming the inability to take the examination for the examination period. The certificate must be submitted to the Examination Office by the end of the third working day after the examination date or after the start of the interruption at the latest. Saturday does not count as a working day. A third withdrawal for health reasons in the same subject area requires the submission of a medical certificate from a public health officer. The illness of a student is equivalent to the illness of a child for whom they are solely responsible. If the reasons are recognized by the Examination Board, a new date will be set, taking into account § 16 para. 3 sentence 1 first half-sentence. If the reasons are submitted by email or fax, the originals for recognition of the reasons can generally be requested within six weeks. If the reasons are not recognized, this examination shall be assessed as “insufficient”.

Expiring Bachelor’s Examination Regulations 2013

Beginning in the Winter Semester 2020/21, we will start teaching with the new Subject Examination Regulations 2020 (FPO2020) in the Bachelor’s degree programs Finanzdienstleistungen, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Mittelstandsökonomie, Technische Betriebswirtschaft, Wirtschaft und Recht, and Industrial & Digital Management.

Students of the Subject Examination Regulations 2013 (FPO2013) have the opportunity to complete their studies according to their Subject Examination Regulations up to and including Summer Semester 2026.

In order to ensure the range of courses and examinations for FPO2013 students, the Bachelor’s Examination Board has determined the equivalencies of the individual modules in the transition from FPO2013 to FPO2020.

In the overviews (see left), you will find each module of your degree program with an indication of which module according to FPO2013 corresponds to which module or which course/examination according to FPO2020. Special arrangements have been made for individual modules. For modules for which no equivalence could be determined in FPO2020, the examinations will be offered until the expiry of FPO2013. In these cases, the Examination Board recommends that students take advantage of the course offer in the semester in which the course is offered for the last time at the latest.

If you have any questions about courses or examinations regarding the expiring FPO2013, please contact your course director or Ms. Ortloff, Dean's Office Business Administration (angelika.ortloff(at)hs-kl(dot)de).

Expiring Master’s Examination Regulations FPO2016

Beginning in the Winter Semester 2022/23, we will start teaching with the new Subject Examination Regulations 2022 (FPO2022) in the Master’s degree program Information Management.

Students of the Subject Examination Regulations 2016 will have the opportunity to complete their studies in accordance with their Subject Examination Regulations up to and including Summer Semester 2025.

In order to ensure the range of courses and examinations for FPO2016 students, the Master’s Examination Board has determined the equivalencies of the individual modules in the transition from FPO2016 to FPO2022.

If you have any questions about courses or examinations of the expiring FPO2016, please contact your course director Prof. Dr. Staab. (eugen.staab@hs-kl.de)
