Pre-Study Internship

Practical experience is one of the prerequisites for the degree programme. As a rule, this is acquired through a pre-study internship.

By integrating the intern into professional practice, students learn about work techniques and work processes from their own experience and thus gain an understanding and awareness of the issues involved in the scientifically based practical training.

Applicants with vocational training or experience that matches the intended degree programme are generally exempt from the pre-study work placement. In the cooperative engineering degree programme (KOI) and the new dual degree programmes starting in winter semester 24/25, the pre-study work placement is part of the practical phases at the cooperating company.

Pre-Study Internship Regulations dated 19.06.2024 for students from WS 24/25 who are studying according to the examination regulations of 14 June 2024 (PO 24).
