As part of the "Skills4chips" project, the national educational academy Microtec Academy is being established, focusing on the fields of mechanical engineering (ME) and microsystems technology (MST). This academy pursues innovative concepts and structures and is supported by a strong interregional network. The goal is to attract and further develop skilled professionals at all levels.

The offerings of the Microtec Academy span the entire education chain, ranging from career orientation to dual training, as well as lateral entry and further education measures. This comprehensive approach strengthens vocational education both qualitatively and quantitatively.

A particular focus is placed on the targeted use of didactically sound digitalization in training, further education, and professional development. To this end, a virtual technology laboratory will be established, providing learners with modern and practical experiences. This ensures that the skilled professionals of tomorrow are optimally prepared for the challenges of the industry.
