International Office Info sheet Additional funding for students with fewer opportunities in the Erasmus programme All students have the opportunity to receive a grant for their stay abroad if they opt for sustainable/green travel. Students for whom a stay abroad may be a greater challenge are to be given special support during their mobility by b
Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences is a modern University for Applied Sciences with five faculties on three campuses. The Faculty of Applied Engineering offers Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and related topics. It is situated at the Kaiserslautern Campus. Located close to the centre of the che
As part of the planned research project, fatigue specimens of the steels C22R and 20MnCrS5 will be subjected to conastant amplitude loading with different stress and total strain amplitudes. Within the framework of conventional fatigue tests, it is first of all not possible to make reliable statements with regard to macrocrack formation and propa
For the first experiments in distilled water, a miniaturized electrochemical in-situ cell with a standard three-electrode system, which is also used in potentiodynamic polarization measurements, is being developed. The challenge here is that the cell must be sealed at the sample shafts so that cyclic loading of the specimen can occur in the cell

Evaluation of fracture surfaces with regard to damage development of cyclically loaded specimens made of C22E and 20MnCrS5
Within the framework of the planned research project, the aim is to identify the specifics of the fracture surfaces and to record the individual areas quantitatively in order to enable conclusions to be drawn about the materia
Use of the electrochemical potential to characterize the surface damage behavior of cyclically loaded materials
As part of the research project, a corrosion measuring set-up is to be set up and integrated into a fatigue testing system (rotating bending machine and/or vibration testing system) so that electrochemical investigations can be carried o
