About

Pratika Rai is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanoelectronics & Biosensing Lab.

She is currently working on the development of optical and electrochemical biosensors for the sensitive detection of protease biomarkers relevant to biomedical diagnostics.

Her research focuses on engineering biointerfaces on graphene- and gold-based platforms, with particular emphasis on surface functionalization and antifouling strategies to enhance sensor sensitivity, selectivity, and stability in complex biological samples.

She also contributes to interdisciplinary research collaborations and supervises student laboratory research.

Research Focus

  • Peptide-based biosensing
  • Clinical protease biomarker detection
  • Au and graphene surfaces
  • Surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based biosensing
  • Potentiometric-based biosensing
