Graduates of medical informatics are active in a wide variety of fields and can be used diversely. These areas include:

  • IT service providers, software and database providers,
  • manufacturers of medical equipment,
  • health sector (e.g. hospitals, medical practices, health insurers, medical care centres, pharmaceutical companies, consultancy firms, health agencies),
  • research and development (universities, pharmaceutical companies, research institutes),
  • Self-employment (management consultants, programmers, project managers).


The average starting salary is between €3,200 and €3,800.
