Dear colleagues and students,

as we have informed you several times, the university library with its three locations in Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken and Pirmasens has switched to a new library system at the start of the winter semester 2024.

This will change in the future:

- From now on, you will be regularly informed by email about all activities in your library account (loan receipt, return receipt, etc.).

- Once a month you will receive an overview of your current loans.

- Interlibrary loans are expected to be available again from 14.10.2024.

- Our online services will be available as usual. Bibliothek - Hochschule Kaiserslautern (hs-kl.de)

There you will also find our newly set up Discoverysystem Primo (online catalog). Direct link:

- You can now access your library account via our discovery system.

Please log in via the Primo homepage:

- Follow the link “Assign password” to set up a password for your library account

Your user ID still corresponds to the barcode number on the back of your campus card (or library card). Alternatively, you can also use the university e-mail address for this process.

Then follow the instructions in the e-mail.

This activation will give you an overview of your user account and your activities (loans, reservations etc.) and the option to renew your account yourself.
