MeXenz - MXen-based electrochemical biosensors for the early, noninvasive differential diagnosis of dementia
MeXenz develops MXene-based electrochemical biosensors for the early, non-invasive differential diagnosis of dementia. Highly conductive MXenes, carbon nanotubes and antifouling surface chemistries are combined to enable sensitive multiplex detection of dementia biomarkers in saliva and sweat. The project covers sensor fabrication, biofunctionalization, analytical calibration and validation using biological and clinical samples, paving the way for a point-of-care iagnostic platform.
