Studying at our university is becoming ever more attractive to people with professional qualifications. In the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, you may be allowed to attend university under certain conditions, even without an “Abitur” or other pre-university qualifications.

With a “Meister” or equivalent professional qualification, you may generally start a course of study at the Hochschule Kaiserslautern without having to sit an entrance exam, regardless of the grades you achieved. With a completed vocational qualification with sufficient grades (better than 2.5 in the German grading system) and evidence of at least two years of professional or equivalent experience, you will be awarded immediate admission to study any subject at the Hochschule Kaiserslautern.
